TRANS-Lighthouses. More than Green!

This European project, will run until October 2026, to implement pilot experiences or ‘beacons’ or "lighthouses" of nature-based solutions in different municipalities and countries, to achieve more inclusive communities.

A way to adapt to local environmental challenges and reduce pollution and prevent further warming is to collaborate with nature in its ability to restore and protect ecosystems.

El término «soluciones basadas en la naturaleza» (SbN) The term “nature-based solutions” (NbS) is an umbrella term covering different approaches such as ecosystem-based management, sustainable forest management and blue and green infrastructure.

En este contexto, el equipo del proyecto TRANS-lighthousesIn this context, the TRANS-lighthouses project team, funded by EU funds under the Horizon Europe programme, will gather evidence on the tangible and intangible outcomes of NBS. This information will be useful for rethinking the complex process of developing socially and ecologically fair NBS.

TRANS-lighthouses will employ a non-linear perspective and will favour the adoption of a fluid and organic position that allows the integration of the diversity of subjects, institutions, knowledge, practices and values.

The TRANS-lighthouses project consortium consists of research and innovation organisations, policy-making institutions and civil society organisations, a total of 19 partners from 10 European countries.
